Go-To Sandwich: Tuna Melt

Today was a pretty good day for a Sunday. Alden and I got up at a pretty decent time and we were able to hang around in the house all morning. It was later then around 11 AM was when we both headed out for the day. I’ve been wanting to get a new pair of black sneakers for a while but have not found one that I was willing to commit too; usually because of the price, I forget how expensive they can get. However, I went over to my mom’s place and bought a pair for myself and for Alden (mom & mini) pair for such a great deal.

Then I went over to hang with my sister and her bf and our kids, with food of course.. but I didn’t take any pictures! We went for a long walk in their neighborhood after we were done eating and then I left for my house. I miss Ryan so much and I find myself always bringing him up in conversations because, I just miss him. Haha. Daddy needs to come home quick!

So anyways, I wanted to cook this really cool dish that I feel like having but I am out of a lot of things, and because it is late.. I am going to make do with just a sandwich for the night. My go to is Tuna Salad or Tuna Melt for the warm version.

Ingredients:

2 small can Sunkist White Tuna (Squeeze water out with bare hands)

Hellmann’s Mayonnaise (4 tbsp)

Kikkomans Light Soy Sauce

Pickled Jalapenos

Black Pepper

Salt ( I used just a tiny dash of garlic salt coz im out of regular salt)

Wheat Bread

Romaine Lettuce

Sliced Tomatoes

Sliced American Cheese

  1. To make tuna mix – Literally, add the mayo, soy sauce, black pepper and salt and mix well.
  2. To make sandwich – Layer bread with tuna, jalapenos, tomatoes, cheese. Butter top and bottom bread and put on skillet… once done, add lettuce.
  3. Cut in half and serve!
