I thought I’d share a few things I am currently craving in the baby department as of late. There are just too many things I want right now and I think this list might help me prioritize what’s important first. However, often I find the items on this list being just the kind of stuff I don’t particularly need but want because.. they’re pretty. 🙂
1) Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair (Actually will eventually need this for Alden) – $249.00
I think that this high chair is super adorable and it is modifiable to your child’s height. Since Alden is still a baby, we can get the baby kit which comes with a tray for his food and a back rest. I am definitely going to need this when he turns about 6 months.
Love this SSC baby carrier by Tula. Love this print I am showing down here but there are so many other good ones to choose from! I have 4 carriers right now but 3 of them are actually hand-me-downs from my sister. With that said, I have never purchased anything for me, so this would make up for it. =)
I love my Pottery Barn diaper bag but now I want something that I can just sling onto my back and call it a day. I love the Jujube BFF bag because it is lightweight and it has many compartments that are useful for us moms. I also love the fact that there are so many cute prints to choose from but I like the all black or The Monarch the best – boring I know, but it’ll match my stroller and soon convertible car seat for Alden.
Okay, so here comes my rant that will make R upset if he hears it. We have an infant car seat right now that we got as a gift from work. It is grey in color and our stroller is black. As much as I wanted to buy one of those really nice strollers, I couldn’t justify paying the high dollars for it. Plus, they seemed very cumbersome with most of the strollers having to remove the seat, etc., just to fold it. So, we got the Baby Jogger City Mini stroller and it is by far a really good choice because it is SO easy to fold/unfold, it has a smaller footprint which makes it easier to shop in between aisles and it is pretty lightweight. The only downside to it is it doesn’t have a big basket.
Anyways, reason why I want a new infant car seat is because the colors of my car seat and stroller do not match now. Petty, I know. But.. I will hold off and not buy a new infant seat because soon he will need to transition to a convertible seat and I’ve been eyeing this one by Maxi Cosi, link here. According to their website, this car seat can be used from infant age so technically we can already put him in there, but I am not sure how well he will sit in his stroller minus the infant seat. I guess I’ll have to give it a try when I get home.
All in all, when I think about it, these are the things I actually do need eventually. Alden is growing bigger and bigger by the day, therefore his needs are highly changing and as parents, I need to adapt to it. I also feel like he is ready for developmental classes and toys now too, which means I need to get him more toys to play with. This baby thing is seriously awesome! I love being a mom!
